Manage or cancel your subscription
Premium is billed by Apple, so you manage it with your Apple Account.
- On your iPhone, open Settings and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions, then Anvilhead.
- Choose another plan, or tap Cancel Subscription.
In Anvilhead, Settings (the gear on Now) › Premium › Manage Subscription opens the same page.
A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If you cancel, Premium stays until the end of the period you paid for; if you cancel during a free trial, you won’t be charged.
Refunds are handled by Apple: in Anvilhead, use Settings › Premium › Request a Refund, or go to reportaproblem.apple.com. On a new iPhone, tap Settings › Restore Purchases while signed in to the same Apple Account.
Delete your data
- In Anvilhead, open Settings (the gear on Now) and tap Privacy.
- Tap Delete My Data (Delete Account if you signed in).
- Confirm. If you have an active subscription, the app first reminds you that deleting doesn’t cancel it.
We delete your account, places, alerts and settings from our servers, then the app starts fresh. Deletion needs a connection; if it fails, nothing changes and you can try again. Already removed the app? Reinstall it on the same iPhone and follow these steps, or email us. Our Privacy Policy has the details.
Questions
Do I need an account?
No. Anvilhead works without signing up. Signing in with your email is optional: it keeps your places and Premium on more than one iPhone.
Is Anvilhead an emergency alert service?
No. Forecasts and alerts can be late or wrong, and the app says “Warnings may be delayed” when a source is late. Keep Emergency Alerts on in iPhone Settings › Notifications, and follow instructions from the National Weather Service and local officials.
What location do you use?
Your exact position stays on your device. The app sends only a coarse area, at most about 1.2 × 0.6 km (0.75 × 0.4 miles), to get weather and alerts for where you are.
I’m not getting notifications
Check that notifications are on for Anvilhead in iPhone Settings › Notifications, and that a Focus isn’t silencing them. To let official warnings through a Focus, allow Time Sensitive notifications for Anvilhead.
What does Premium include?
Premium adds features such as longer future radar and more alerts, listed in the app before you buy. Official warnings are always free.
Where does the weather come from?
Radar and official warnings come from NOAA and the National Weather Service, and forecasts from Open-Meteo and NOAA. The app credits every source in Settings › Sources & Credits.
